Journal of Venous Medicine is guided by an international editorial team united around venous hemodynamics and evidence-based, minimally invasive management of chronic venous disease.

Claude Franceschi, MD — Founding Patron & Honorary Editor
French angiologist and vascular surgeon, developer of the CHIVA strategy (first presented in 1988) and a pioneer of Doppler and color-Doppler hemodynamic investigation of venous disease. His work established the hemodynamic model—identifying pathological escape points and disconnecting them while preserving the saphenous trunk—that underpins the conservative treatment of varicose veins. As Founding Patron, he provides the conceptual foundation of the journal's mission.

Roberto Delfrate, MD — Consulting Editor, Vascular Hemodynamics
Italian vascular surgeon at the Figlie di San Camillo Hospital, Cremona, and a leading clinical researcher of the CHIVA strategy. His work spans long-term outcome studies, saphenous-vein-sparing techniques, and the hemodynamic re-evaluation of recurrent varicose veins; he co-authored the Springer monograph Saphenous Vein-Sparing Strategies in Chronic Venous Disease and directs CHIVA theoretical and practical training. He advises the journal on hemodynamic methodology and review standards.
